The event was celebrated with students of GGMS, GHSS and Primary School of Kalam, Distt. Swat in which more than 800 students participated. 600 posters and flyers and banners were distributed in these schools to promote disaster risk reduction messages to students. Mostly these messages were related to preparedness, mitigation and prevention.

Quiz competition and debates were also conducted among the students of different classes. Mostly questions were about local hazards, their causes and mitigation measures. Painting and drawing competition were organized among the students.
