Three Months Vocational Skills Training Completed
LASOONA: Society for Human and Natural Resource Development with the collaboration of Welthungerhilfie (a renowned German Not-for-profit organization) has organized closing ceremony of three months Vocational Skills Training program under its project on ‘Sustainable Solutions to Food & Nutrition Insecurity’.
The closing ceremony held in Government Vocational Skills Training Center Swat, where total 62 (1st batch) unemployed youth of district Swat and Shangla graduated in various trades; Tailoring, Plumbing, Electrician, Mobile Repairing, Driving and Auto Mechanic. It is to be noted here that under this skills development program, a total of 168 persons (84 women & 84 men) will be trained.
The ceremony was attended by Executive Director LASOONA, representatives from Social Welfare, Education, Health departments and other stakeholders. Certificates along with toolkits distributed among all the successful trainees. The tool kits will provide them the opportunity to start the micro enterprise on self-sustainable basis by mitigating the risk of initial investment.
The trainees at the ceremony have expressed their views and opinions about their experience, future planning and the value of the training in their lives. They thanked LASOONA and training center for providing them this opportunity to polish their skills, enabling them to earn decent livelihoods and thus secure their food and nutrition needs.
