Food Items Distribution LASOONA with the support of Sign of Hope-Germany distributed 365 food packages to the flood affected people of Swat. LASOONA Emergency Flood Response LASOONA: Society for Human & Natural Resource Development- a local NGO and in partnership with Oxfam-GB initiated Emergency Flood Response Project from 30th July. The project will carry out Water, Sanitation and Hygiene activities in worse affected Union Councils of Swat.

Profile of LASOONA Board Members Mr. Hamidullah Khan He is the Chairman of LASOONA. An agriculturist by profession and has worked in a development project in Swat. He elected as Board member in 2002. Mr. Sher Mohammad Khan He is a practicing lawyer by profession. He has been affiliated with LASOONA since 1999. He joined as Board member, and later became the Chairperson for the year 2004 and then reelected for the year 2005. Mr. Amir Alam Khan A Community Development Expert, presently working in a multisectoral Malakand Rural Development Project in Swat as Team Leader. Previously he has worked with the National Rural Support Program and has about 10 years experience in the Development sector. Mr. Haider Ali Khan He is one of the founder members of LASOONA. Presently working as Managing Director- Forest Development Corporation (FDC). He has a vast experience as a forester and also remained as Executive Director of LASOONA for two years. He joined the Board in 2002. He has also experience in donor funded developmental projects like Kalam Integrated Development Project, Social Forestry Project, and Watershed Development Project. Mr. Rahmat Hayat A management graduate and has vast experience of working with different donor funded projects like PATA, Social Forestry Project Malakand/Dir, Forestry Sector Project and Asian Development Bank. He became the Board member in 2002 and then in 2005. Mr. Shad Muhammad With over 18 years of professional experience working on donor-funded rural development and integrated agricultural/agribusiness projects, primarily in the NWFP as well other provinces of the country. An agriculturist by profession and is presently working as National Coordinator in Agribusiness Support Fund (ASF). He is elected as board member in 2010. Mr. Sayed Iqbal Hussain A Community Development Specialist and is presently working in Dir Area Development Project. He became the Board member in the year 2005 for a period of 4 years Mr. Azam Khan A management graduate and is the Executive Director of LASOONA and is associated with the organization since 2000. Mr. Azam Khan has vast expereince in donor funded programs and projects. He did his post graduate diploma from the Netherlands. He has about 11 years experience in the development sector.
