Mr. Azam Khan holds a Master’s degree in Public Administration from the Institute of Management Studies (IMS), University of Peshawar, Pakistan, and a postgraduate diploma in “Managerial Control and Management Information System” from the Netherlands. He began his professional career in 1998 as Manager Finance & Administration at the Social Forestry Project Malakand/Dir. After two years, he joined LASOONA Relief & Development Organization as Chief Executive Officer in July 2000, where he has been serving ever since.

With over 25 years of progressive management experience, Mr. Khan has led multi-cultural and multi-disciplinary teams in planning, implementing, and coordinating diverse public welfare activities. He has successfully managed participatory rural development, small-scale entrepreneurship, education, resource conservation, relief operations, and social sector policy dissemination. As a key figure, Mr. Khan has designed and developed programs funded by donor organizations. He has extensive experience in planning, appraising, implementing, monitoring, and evaluating social sector participatory and poverty-focused development work in remote areas of Pakistan.

Mr. Azam Khan has extensive experience in human resource development, spanning strategic and operational levels. His expertise includes developing, implementing, and coordinating HR strategies and policies, staff recruitment, job evaluation, employee relations, and training management. Proficient in financial management, financial appraisals, budgetary forecasting, resource allocation, and performance auditing, Mr. Khan also excels in communication and report-writing. He actively participates in training, workshops, and seminars worldwide, proficient in Urdu, English, and Pashto.
