Mr. Haider Ali Khan is a distinguished Pakistani professional with over four decades of experience in the field of forestry and environmental management. He holds dual Master’s degrees in Forestry from the University of Missouri, Columbia, USA, and the Pakistan Forest Institute, Peshawar. His career has been marked by significant contributions to sustainable forestry, community development, and environmental rehabilitation, with leadership roles in various organizations. Currently, he serves as a Member of the Board of Directors for LASOONA RELIEF AND DEVELOPMENT ORGANIZATION, where he provides strategic direction, approves policies, and supports fundraising initiatives. His extensive experience in project management spans several high-profile positions, including Project Manager for the Tarbela Watershed Management Project and Director of Environmental Rehabilitation Projects funded by the Dutch Embassy in Pakistan.
Throughout his career, Mr. Khan has demonstrated exceptional leadership in forestry-related projects, particularly in integrating local communities and participatory approaches to forest management. Notable roles include serving as the Chief Conservator of Forests for Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Managing Director of the Forest Development Corporation (FDC) KPK, and various senior positions in forestry projects such as the Kalam Integrated Development Project and the Dir-Swat Watershed Management Project. He has consistently emphasized sustainable development, environmental conservation, and community involvement, managing large-scale afforestation and soil conservation programs, implementing innovative forestry practices, and mentoring local development committees.
